Celebrating an Exceptional AAG Supporter: Supporter of the Year 2026

From introducing Adopt a Grandparent to residents at her own care home to opening doors for us across the wider care sector, Margaret Atiror has become an exceptional supporter of AAG.

Margaret and the wellbeing team at Parkview Care Home, Avante Care & Support were quick to bring the programme into the home after first meeting with us.

Since then, Margaret has continued to champion the charity.

She and her team featured in our 2025 annual review video, and throughout 2026 she has personally introduced AAG to contacts across social care and co-presented with us at a number of Skills for Care events, sharing the benefits of the programme with other care homes.

That kind of support makes a genuine difference to a small charity. Every introduction can lead us to another care home, another resident and another potential friendship.
